I found myself playing catch-up with everything I wanted to do because of the setback I had last month regarding my suspended Microsoft Ad account, and I wasn’t delighted with my autoresponder email sequence.
August 19, 2024 – Driving Traffic & Follow-up
I’ve extensively played around and tested Facebook Lead Ads in the last few weeks. Overall, it’s not a complicated platform compared to Microsoft and Google Search Ads. At some point, I have to stop playing too much with it and just let it run because I have other things to do, but it’s been giving me some leads/subscribers to work with.
The month of August has been mostly about improving my autoresponder emails. In June, I finished 12 autoresponder emails, but it only took a couple of weeks for me to start feeling unhappy with them. 😕👎 I thought I needed to add more valuable information to my emails because they were too generic.
Writing these emails is no easy task for me. One email of about 500-600 words can take me up to 4-5 days. It’s not because I don’t have anything to say but because I want to write them in a very organized, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-read manner. I even take correct spaces between paragraphs into account. I don’t know if I’m shooting myself in the foot by spending too much time and taking too much attention to detail into consideration, but I want to provide something good to my subscribers.
As of today, I have eight emails redone/completed. I might consider stopping at ten instead of 12 this time, but we’ll see.
August 26, 2024 – Follow-up
I decided to write 12 emails in total. Again, I feel like I’m cramping too much information into these emails, so I’m trying to find ways to simplify them and remove unnecessary things as much as I can. After I finish them, I plan to send these emails to my coaches for review. I’m sure they will tell me things I need to improve on and things to add or take out.
One of the things I have to watch about myself is being humble enough to let someone else review my work, being open to listening to their advice, and making changes if necessary. I’m fortunate to have coaches available Monday through Friday who can review my work and give me feedback.
I wrote a little about my personal life in a couple of emails. I’m not going to lie; it can be uncomfortable telling some of my personal stories, but I know it’s important to be as open as possible because of the potential connection I could have with my subscribers.
August 31, 2024 – Finished
I just finished re-doing and uploading all 12 of my emails, and hopefully, by next month, I’ll be able to correct anything that needs to be corrected based on the feedback I will have from my coaches.
As you can see, it’s a business that requires a lot of work. I enjoyed working on this and documenting my progress, so I’m okay with it.
