Please visit the My Story page. It will give you context for why I created this blog.
The chart in the feature image is the funnel I started implementing in 2018. If you’re familiar with it, you’ll know what I’m talking about!
- Visit ClickBank & choose a product to promote
- Pay for Google search ads
- Create a landing page
- Vendor’s page
- Order form
- Sales
It was frustrating not to see the gains I was hoping for. It took me four years of testing different techniques, using numerous third-party resources, receiving suspended Google Ad accounts, and even hiring a coach as a last resort. All that persistence turned into a deeply demoralized feeling of being incapable. My previous coaches were able to achieve it, so why couldn’t I? Finally, I decided to quit and cut my losses.
Based on what I’ve found out recently, paid advertising was a lot less expensive years ago, so gaining profits through that specific funnel used to be much easier. I don’t mind fighting uphill battles under the right circumstances, but in this case, I wasn’t even aware I was fighting one!
I was basically doing the traditional affiliate marketing that I’m now trying to avoid.
I don’t think my “failure” was a complete loss because I’ve learned many things during those years, but if I had to start all over, I would have taken a different approach.
These days, I’m implementing a different type of funnel, guided by the right mentor, Dean Holland. I’ll probably still encounter challenges, but at least now I’m aware of the pitfalls that nobody told me about in the past. I’m also better equipped with a more complete set of tools provided by Dean Holland’s coaching program, The Beginner’s Advantage.
Warm Regards,
—Albert
