Glad you are here because starting with this post, I’ll be documenting my affiliate marketing journey in more detail.

If you are eager to learn about affiliate marketing, you can do so by following my steps.

I will not have all the answers, but I can give you authenticity through trial and error.

In this world nowadays, where we are full of fake AI videos (I’ve seen those, and they are getting annoying), what I can give you is authenticity, so you can take a look at what I’m doing, learn from my mistakes, and maybe get you motivated so you can start your own affiliate marketing journey.

BE CLEAR ON WHAT YOU WANT TO DO

Let’s face it, most of us want to start an online business for the money. You might not even care what type of products you want to promote as long as it makes you money, and because you don’t care, you end up choosing whatever niche sounds good or whatever niche is presented to you without putting any research into it.

When I started building my email audience in 2023/2024, I was building an audience interested in the make-money-online niche.

However…

Deep down, I wanted to pursue the travel niche so I could create travel content and promote travel-related products. Travel was something I was more passionate about.

I wrestled with this dilemma for over a year, but in the end, I decided to stick with the make-money-online niche, and now I’m not turning back.

The only scenario in which I will start testing other niches is if I first succeed in the make-money-online niche.

So remember that! You may encounter situations where you must make difficult choices. You might even be tempted to take on several niches at the same time, but based on what I have learned in the past, and especially if you’re a complete beginner, you have to start with just one niche and stick to it.

I wasn’t necessarily doing two niches simultaneously; my action steps were only to build an audience in the make-money-online niche. The problem, however, was my mindset. I was doing the make-money-online niche, but thinking about the travel niche, and that push-pull needed to be resolved.

Things have to be crystal clear for you; your action steps must be congruent with what you truly want to do. In other words, the niche you are working on must be the one you made your final decision on, and you should not be wondering or having doubts about whether to go back and try a different niche. That doubt takes away your focus.

If you eventually need to change your mind, that’s fine, but don’t do it until you’ve given it an honest, 100% fair effort and focus.

You have to choose a niche you feel good about, while also making sure it has monetary potential. I talk about this in my free report.

 

WHY DID I CHOOSE THE MAKE MONEY ONLINE NICHE?

So why did I set aside the travel niche and pursue the make-money-online niche instead?

If you have been following my story, you know I started my affiliate marketing journey in 2018. That year was my true very first beginning. And no, I didn’t find any success back then. Quite the opposite, actually, since 2018 and 2023, I tried and tried, and I lost money and time.

But…

Did I really lose time? Or was I learning and experiencing things that I could talk about now these days with you, my audience?

Back then, I was using a completely different affiliate marketing strategy. It wasn’t about building an audience.

However, I learned a great deal and gained experience, despite the zero results.

So why did I choose the make-money-online niche instead of the travel niche? Simply because I have more to talk about from my past. I experienced a lot of things, mostly “bad” things, but these bad things are just experiences or lessons I can leverage to create content for you.

The important thing is that I’m not giving up yet. My actual first goal is to make my first sale, and if I can do it, I’m sure you can too.

If you’re on the fence about affiliate marketing, you don’t need to act just yet; my journey can help you decide later whether to pursue it or not. And if you do want to pursue it, at least you will have an idea of what lies ahead.

 

CHOOSE A GOOD PRODUCT TO PROMOTE

So now that I’ve decided to build an audience interested in the make-money-online niche, I still need to choose which specific product I want to promote.

That decision was another obstacle because I didn’t know what to promote to my audience.

The products I was presented with for promotion were good products. I even bought some of those myself, but deep down, I still felt I could offer my audience something better.

The pricing was another issue. Some of those products were priced at a high premium, and I felt like I wasn’t good enough to make those high-ticket sales.

I felt like I needed to promote something that my audience and the general public can afford. I needed two elements in place.

• A product that’s affordable
• A product of high quality

It was only very recently, late 2025, that I finally felt good about promoting something to my audience.

It is the affiliate marketing coaching program, Internet Profits Academy. It took a couple of years of preparation, but it’s finally here!

 

I WAS HESITATING TO TAKE BOLD ACTIONS

I started this blog in late 2023, but at the time, I didn’t begin documenting my journey the way I’m about to do now for several reasons. The main reason was that, as I said earlier, I wasn’t sure what product I wanted to promote to my audience.

And because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to promote, my actions were not consistent. I was learning a lot about affiliate marketing, yes, and I was implementing certain things here and there, but I still wasn’t satisfied with my product choices.

I wasn’t sending enough emails, I wasn’t writing blog posts regularly, and I wasn’t engaging with my audience at the level I should have been.

I was just waiting and hoping for the right product to come in so I could finally promote it.

Well, that product is finally here, and it’s called Internet Profits Academy.

But to be crystal clear, I was already using Internet Profits Academy; the product was available, but it wasn’t marketed the way I envisioned. Things were also being modified, changed, upgraded, and tested. All those things were happening behind the scenes for the last two years, until about two months ago, when Internet Profits Academy was finally released, with all its improvements, and at a price the average person could afford.

But just because you have a good product doesn’t mean things will happen by magic. You still need to put in the effort, but the good news is that Internet Profits Academy can and will provide the support you need to grow your affiliate marketing business.

You know! An advertisement does whatever it can, within ethical bounds, to grab your attention, so it often simplifies or hides the ugly reality. And that’s fine; it is what it is. I use advertisements as well; they have their purpose.

But…

Since you’re already on my blog, what I can give you here is the ugly reality. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows. But that’s okay, because if you want to learn, you’re gonna have to know the unpleasant parts as well.

There’s one thing you will need to have in this affiliate marketing business. You will need a strong vocation, because not everybody succeeds at this.
