Do You Like Your Job, or Is It Just for the Bills?

Hi there! It’s been a while since I last posted something on my blog.

I’ve been preoccupied with life, work, and refining my affiliate marketing strategy over the past few months.

So, I’ve been quite busy.

But…

I have to admit, I’ve been lazy as well.

Whenever I had time to write on my blog, I lacked motivation because I was tired from a long day at work.

I know getting home tired from work isn’t a good excuse.

Hey! We all go through those struggles, right? Who hasn’t been tired or lazy after work? We all just want to eat supper and watch TV.

I bet you have done it.

I’m Thankful for My Job

Yes, having that recurring income coming every two weeks into my checking account can be a lifesaver. I have enough money to cover the mortgage, electricity, gas, water, food, and other living necessities.

That income also allows me to spend what’s necessary to keep my affiliate marketing business going.

So without that income, I couldn’t do anything. I’m sure you can relate to that if you’re dependent on an employer.

Being an Entrepreneur

Hey, if you love your job, that’s great! You’re on the right path.

On the other hand, if you have never reached that point of fulfillment by working for someone else, then maybe working independently is the best route.

For example, I never had clarity about what I wanted to do early on in life, so I decided to follow the crowd, get a degree, and try to find a good employer.

However, I later realized it wasn’t the path I wanted to take. Too many compliances to obey when working for someone else, to be honest.

My goal now is to become a successful affiliate marketer and potentially build a larger online business in the future. To have that independence from the regular job environment.

I’m not sure if you are in a similar situation, but if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re looking to either supplement your income from your main job or transition into full-time online entrepreneurship.

But let’s be honest, it’s not just about doing what you love. It’s also about earning enough money and having the freedom to relocate or move around when needed.

It’s not about showing off. That income and that freedom are mainly for providing the support our goals need to make them a reality.

Others Took the Right Path

I’ve seen people aligned with what they wanted to do career-wise. They might have problems at work, but at least they are on a path where they are happily willing to tackle those challenges.

I guess it’s like being a football head coach. The team might lose an important game or even have a horrible season, but he’ll never change his coaching career for anything.

So if these people were able to find their path, why can’t you and I? Why can’t we be working on something we like doing while receiving the income we actually need?

The Road Is Not Easy!

Just as the head coach analogy I described above, having a bad year or many bad years doesn’t mean we should give up on our goals. We can do this. We can make this work!

I understand that doing affiliate marketing might sound tough, and if you haven’t even started yet, it might feel confusing or overwhelming.

Take me as an example:

I never thought of having an email list. I had no idea where to begin, but with the right help, I was able to grow my list.

At the moment, I have about 1,000 subscribers and am still growing.

What is Our Job As an Affiliate Marketer?

Now, a thousand subscribers in this industry is really not a big number.

But that’s okay because something just as important as the numbers is the relationship you build with them.

How do you build that relationship with your subscribers?

By sharing valuable content, they can benefit in one way or another, whether through email or posts like this one.

You share an experience you’ve already had in the niche that they want to know more about.

At the end of the day, that’s what affiliate marketing is all about, right? Providing something useful that helps people in one way or another, and then making a recommendation of a quality product that can help them solve a problem.

Funny thing is, people sometimes don’t even have to be subscribed to your list to benefit from what you want to share.

They might not get value from your email content, but…

If you’ve got a blog or even post regularly on social media, your insights can reach anyone interested in your niche.

If you think you’ll enjoy helping others through this process, then maybe this online opportunity is for you.

The aftereffect is the commission you’ll get if someone buys a product you recommended.

But the important thing is to build that trust first!

That’s your job as an affiliate marketer.
