My Coaches Are Reviewing My Emails And My Ads

Hi there. I hope this month brings me some valuable lessons so I can pass those lessons on to you—my blog visitors and subscribers.

You might not know this, but I can access my coaches from Monday to Friday and ask questions about issues in my affiliate marketing business. Depending on the day and the type of meeting, I can either get an answer to my question right on the spot or wait a day or two. These are done on Zoom.

September 14, 2024 – Autoresponders Sent for Review
After redoing my 12 autoresponder emails, they were sent to my coaches for review.

Before reviewing my emails, they wanted to see my Facebook Lead Ad image, my ad statistics, and my autoresponder email statistics (they wanted to know the percentage of people opening my emails, which you can easily find in Affiliate System).

Facebook Lead Ads Suggestions
They gave me a few suggestions about the Facebook Lead Ad image. It needed to grab more attention so that more people would click on it. They suggested adding “step by step” or “free guide.” They also suggested adding a picture of me to the avatar box on Facebook.

I also had to change the copy of my ad to emphasize the lead magnet video I’m offering. I initially talked too much about joining my email list so people could follow my affiliate marketing journey. The problem is that when people click my ad, they don’t care about joining my email list or following my journey; they only care about the gift (the free lead magnet).

Choose Only One Lead Magnet and Correlate Everything
I was using two lead magnet videos this entire time, with the second video as a bonus. The coach suggested I only use one video. I thought the more lead magnets, the more the value, but at the same time, it wasn’t necessary, so I kept the video of the four core areas of focus (drive, capture, follow-up, offers).

September 17, 2024 – Attention Grabber
Here’s the image I recreated for my Facebook Lead Ads. It’s an image that I believe will grab more attention than my previous one. Hopefully, this will give me more clicks and bring more subscribers to my email list. What do you think? I might play around with other color schemes and a different drawing of the person.

September 19, 2024 – I’m Only Using One Lead Magnet
Today, I was working on recreating my lead magnet page. The coaches suggested removing the “Death of Affiliate Marketing” and keeping the “Four Core Areas” video.

Banner and Optin Page
I also just realized I had to change my banner and opt-in page. Here are a few before-and-after screenshots.

The opt-in page title had to be modified as well.

I’ve been trying to correlate everything as best as possible so that the transition from the ad to my autoresponder emails is congruent. Once my subscribers receive my autoresponder emails, they’ll get more content about the four core areas of focus.

September 23, 2024 – Second Review
Today, the coach reviewed my ad for the second time. We mainly discussed the image of Facebook Lead Ads, and she gave me a few ideas for improving it. After working on them, here are the two final images I created.

I have to choose one of the two. Which do you think looks best?

September 28, 2024 – Autoresponder Emails
One way I was told to improve my emails was to be more conversational. In other words, I had to include the reader more. For example, if my situation relates to theirs, I could ask questions such as: “Isn’t it?” ” Don’t you think?” ” Have you ever experienced something similar?” ” What do you think about such and such…?” You get the idea.

This advice seems like a good technique for connecting with my readers better. It’s as if I’m having a face-to-face conversation with them.

I also had to include my offer more throughout the 12-email sequence. There are ways to do this subtly so it doesn’t sound pushy. My offer at the moment is the Iceberg Effect book. Including it, 4-5 times throughout the 12-email sequence sounds just about right. I’ll see how I can make this work.

I will edit these emails in the next few days. I aim to finish them by the end of the month so I can continue running Facebook Lead Ads in October.

    • Hi Meredith,

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, congruency is important. I even knew it before I created my ad, but sometimes, it takes someone else with more experience to show you flaws you didn’t see yourself. I’m glad the coach pointed out many of the mistakes I made on my ad and lead magnet page.
